What if I told you that affiliate marketing is like having a job? You would disagree with me, right? Isn't the whole point of doing affiliate marketing to quit your existing 9-5 job so you can have the freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want, with whom ever you want, at any time?
Absolutely, so let me be clear and say that affiliate marketing is not like a 9-5 job. BUT, the same mindset should be applied.
When you get into a job, you know exactly what you're going to be doing, the tasks you'll have to complete on a daily basis is crystal clear, and there should be no confusing as to what your role in the marketplace is.
With affiliate marketing, you do not get paid like you get paid on a job. With a job, you get paid by from an employer on an hourly basis. In other words, you get paid for the time you put in.
With affiliate marketing, you don't get paid for the amount of time you put in. Instead, you get paid for the amount of value you provide to the marketplace.
That said, if you want to be a successful affiliate marketer, it's important that you understand how to execute your money making activities and make the most of your time so that you can get paid accordingly.
That's where most beginner and intermediate affiliate marketers fail. They focus on too many tasks and spend their time in places that doesn't make them the money they could be making, have they focused their efforts in areas that matter.
So what you want to do instead, is get crystal clear on the exact tasks that you need to execute on a daily basis in order to complete your tasks according to the chosen strategy that will yield the results you're going for.
This is not easy as most affiliate marketers are under the spell of new shiny objects that distract them to chase fast money that in theory sounds easy to achieve but in reality doesn't happen.
