Believe it or not, but some studies show that roughly 70% of people that try out affiliate marketing, never makes their first affiliate commission online.
It’s not because they’re stupid, and it’s not because it’s difficult to do.
The cold hard truth is that most people don’t take action – and it’s understandable. There’s so much information out there, so how can you possible know what works and what doesn’t?
In this video, I’ll break down exactly what you need to do in order to make your first affiliate commission this week, even if you’re frustrated and overwhelmed:
As mentioned in the video, there a couple of things you need in order to get yourself set up for your first affiliate commissions and the many more to come.
The first thing you need:
1. An Affiliate Offer
This should be no surprise – in order to get paid as an affiliate, you need an affiliate offer to promote.
If you haven’t found your affiliate offer yet, check out my other blog post (video) about how to find the best affiliate offers.
2. An Autoresponder
Building an email list so that you can follow up with your prospects are crucial to your success as an affiliate marketer.
Why?
Because most people don’t buy the offer you’re promoting right away.
Studies show that people who buys anything at all online, usually needs to be exposed to a product 7 times (on average) before that person makes the final decision to buy.
Therefore, you need an autoresponder to collect email adresses and manage your email marketing, so you can follow up with your prospects.
Don’t have an autoresponder yet?
The best choice for an affiliate marketer, is in my opinion Drip.
I use Drip myself and I love it.
You can get started with Drip for free until you get your first 100 subscribers.

3. Landing Page Builder
To capture the email address, you need a squeeze page.
Assuming you don’t want to learn HTML and CSS and other coding jargon, you will want to invest in a Landing Page Builder to make the process of creating a squeeze page effortless.
There’s many tools to choose from.
The most popular are:
ClickFunnels
LeadPages
Thrive Architect (requires WordPress)
It doesn’t matter which one you choose, as long as you can easily create a squeeze page with it.
I can highly recommend ClickFunnels to anybody.
It is the most expensive one, but it’s also the easiest to use, and it flat out works.
In my experience, LeadPages are a bit buggy, and is pretty limited when it comes to what you can do.
Thrive Architect is great, but if you are not very technical it can be hard to learn, and you need to have a WordPress website in order to install the plugin.
If you don’t own a Landing Page Builder yet, the best thing you can do is start a free trial and play around with it.

You’ll quickly get a grasp of it and how it works.
